All About Me
I was born in Mexico and grew up in Baldwin Park, California. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development with an emphasis on English, and a Master's Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. I also hold a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a supplementary credential in English Language Arts.
I taught 4th grade at Two Bunch Palms Elementary for twelve years, and am currently teaching my fourth year of 5th grade. I also have experience in 2nd grade. I have a love of learning and continually seek to increase my knowledge in academic subjects, pedagogy, and personal interests. I am currently working on obtaining a secondary teaching credential in science, as well as taking courses in other subject areas. I will continue to strive to expand my knowledge and skills and be a life-long learner.
On a personal note, I am married, my husband and I live in San Jacinto with our daughters and adorable dogs, Bugsy and Ghost. I enjoy reading mystery novels, taking nature walks, and writing. I spend a lot of my time with family, friends, and my pup. On my time off, I love to travel in the U.S. and Mexico.
